Rare 1820's English "Chinese Fisher Boys" Blue Transferware Footed Platter. Very scarce footed platter with well by an unknown maker. The pattern is generally referred to as "Chinese Fisher Boys" or "Cameleopard" (early terminology for giraffe). Exotic style border with early 19th century interpretations of water lilies and lotus flowers. The scene shows men fishing with a net, and bridges and other structures, including two odd buildings that could be ovens or drying houses of some sort. In excellent condition, no cracks, chips or repairs.

Some scuffs to the rim and wear on the feet. Some areas of minor fine crazing on the underside.

One area of cutlery marks on the lower left side that have stained brown, but they are not cracks. Measurements: 18" x 14" and 3 tall at the top of the rim. The item will be delivered directly to your residence or business.
