Pieces with this exact style, theme, and mark are often dated to the Tongzhi era, however based on facial dating we believe them to not be any older than the Republic era. Photos taken in natural and artificial light. Dish has hand-painted red mark "Yan Xi Tong He, " "celebration of harmony in marriage".

Both pieces with engraved "CHINA" on the bottom. No cracks, chips, or repairs (UV checked). Bottom exterior of planter has a ring of mineral deposits from use, interiors of both have mineral deposits, please study all photos. We counted carefully, and the planter actually has 100 boys.

The dish has 47 boys. Planter plus dish is approximately 8 3/4" (22.22cm) tall, both pieces approximately 8" (20.32cm) wide.
