Measuring 5 (12.5cm) high max. Dish diameter 5.75 (14.5cm).
Good Chinese porcelain lidded dish dating fro the 18th or early 19th century. Extensively decorated to sides and lid with famille rose figures, attendants, panels of decoration, foliate motifs and a cockerel to one side. The decoration is of very good quality.
The dish has two finely applied twisted handles to each side which are interwoven. The lid has a seed pod or fruit pod finial with leaves. CONDITION: The dish and lid are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The gold gilding has almost entirely come off the finial, handles and edge of the lid. The lid is warped from firing (see images) and this is clearly visible.
The decoration is generally in very good order although a couple of places are a bit worn. The foot edge has some very minor flat chips which may have been ground down slightly. Overseas International signed for tracked and signed. The item "Fine Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose Lidded Dish (c.
