Chinese Porcelain Coral Ground Gilt Decorated Turquoise Interior Narcissus Tray. Six character Qianlong mark in line in cobalt on underside. Either late Qian 1875 - 1916 or Early Republic period 1917 - 1935.
The oblong bowl with a pale turquoise glaze on interior. The exterior with a rich coral glaze over painted in elaborate gilt flower scrolls. The short raised foot conforming and darkened brown. The underside glazed in a slightly darker turquoise except at center for mark to be exposed on white porcelain ground. The whole with outward peaked curves at long sides and with inset peaked corners and conforming outward peaked curved ends.A finely painted gilt leaf scroll border on the outer rim of the slightly outset rim. A very pleasing shape with a nice subtle color and decoration.
