Chinese blue and white transitional baluster vase and cover, circa 1640, the body decorated with a narrative scene of an official accompanied by a bannerman and two further attendants meeting another dignitary proffering gifts among plants within a mountainous setting with cloudscrolls, the neck with a lappet border, the cover with a pagoda amongst trees in a mountainous landscape height: 11 in. ; condition: the cover restored, hairline to lower body.
