This is an incredibly beautiful delicately hand painted poly-chrome 4 piece stacking bowl set with lid. All pieces have been very finely decorated with flowers and birds and insects. The colors are vibrant and the enamels are in remarkable condition for an antique from any age period.

You will not find a finer example of these stacked bowls in this condition in this price range. I collected these myself and I know this is a high quality set. The pictures don't really do this piece justice, in person it is simple very elegant. While the set is not marked the colors used in the enamels are those used during the Qing Dynasty, very likely Tongzhi or even Qianlong. The lid has a handmade twisted brass wire and ring on top.

The un-glazed edges of each pieces show the appropriate age discoloration. And the white glaze surfaces possesses the typical occlusions for the periods suggested.

Please review all photos carefully , and ask any question or request any new photos etc. Note: the base is fitted with stick-on surface protectors, easily removed. NOTE: It was pointed out to me that there is a hairline crack on one of the bowls. It is so faint it can only be seen in a high resolution image as shown in photo #7, on the second bowl from the top. It does not detract from the set and is almost impossible to see, and does not compromise the integrity of the bowl or set.

NOTE: THE WOODEN STAND IS NOT INCLUDED! The components of the set measure as follows: Each bowl is 5"(12.5cm) in diameter by 1 1/8"(3.125cm) tall. The lid is 5 1/4(13.125cm) in diameter. The set with lid on measures 6 1/4(15.625cm).
