Fine Chinese Ming Chenghua Style. Important Antique Chinese Qing Blue and White Red Enamel Dragon Porcelain Moon Flask Vase with Ruyi Handle.

Here is an outstanding Chinese blue and white moon flask porcelain vase. It has a truly one of the finer underglazed iron red dragon. The combination of blue white and underglazed iron red color is among the most difficult technique of ceramic making. Because of the huge difference of the firing temperatures of both colors, most underglazed iron red painting would be melted together and lose its strokes and shapes.

Take a look at our close up pictures of the dragon of this vase, every stroke is clear. It has some small green spot, evidence of true underglazed iron red color. The dragon wrapped its body among the clouds, finely painted design on both front and back of this moon flask. A garlic bulb short neck over the main body. On each side, it has an elegant ruyi handle.
