Large antique CHINESE QING DYNASTY BLUE & WHITE PORCELAIN BOWL KANGXI MARK AF

  

A beautifully handpainted large Qing Dynasty Kangxi Mark blue and white large Chinese bowl. Not an expert in this area The bowl measures 9.25 inches wide and 4.5 inches tall approximately Decorated with dragons, flowers possibly sunflowers and lotus flowers inside and outside the bowl. There are two four clawed dragons on the outside. I think this is a more unusual pattern with the sunflowers.

Now the bad points there are quite a few hairline cracks at least 4, a couple smaller cracks near the chips and many nibbles or grazing on the rim. The hairline cracks are not very noticeable from the pictures but can clearly be seen with the naked eye!!! Two severe chips are noticeable from the outside. This piece may benefit from restoration and preventing futher damage. The smaller chips to the rim or grazes look much older.

It was usual to put earlier marks on later pieces in respect of earlier periods. I think this is quite well painted in my opinion despite being badly chipped, damaged.
