Chinese Export Porcelain Rose Medallion Bowl with French Silver Mounted Rim and Foot. The porcelain in typical rose medallion decoration with a flower and leaf band and black C scroll reserves with matching flowers and leaves.

Divided into four sections with C scroll border. Two enclosing court ladies in a building and two with a bird on a stem with a large flower spray. The center gilt circle with a bird and flower. The exterior decorated to match. The silver rim with egg and dart rim and the raised circular foot to match.

The rim and base marked with the French Minerva mark and with makers mark M L with a tower or chess pawn in a diamond. Mark untraced from my research. The porcelain unmarked as usual.

In very good condition with no chips, crack or repairs. The usual and expected potting, glazing and firing flaws.

The silver rim slightly loose. Chinese porcelain mid to late 19th century. Silver probably late 19th - early 20th century. Measures 4 1/2" high, 9 3/4" diameter at top rim.
