Antique Chinese Porcelain Famille Vert Vase Hat Stand Lamp Export 19th century

  
An exceptional famille vert cylinder vase decorated with bright flowers in shades of green. Converted for use as a lamp. The glaze is nice and thick on the white ground and the vase looks wet - a sign of age and quality. The glaze stops at the base and the foot rim is unglazed.

The electric cord has white paint on it and the wood lamp base has two sections of the rim missing. In the past someone has put dark paint on the vase base to mimic the missing wood trim on the base - this will come off and does not detract. The vase has been drilled. A beautiful piece whether used as a lamp or vase display.
