This pair of fine, large, antique (late 19th century) porcelain pagoda figure nodders come from the firm of Ernst Bohne Sohne of Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany. Measures: 9 x 8 x 8 in.

Each is in good condition, with nodding heads, rocking hands and tongues. There are signs of inpainting on two hands. Each carries the blue anchor mark of the firm. The company was founded in 1848 by the porcelain painter, Ernst Bohne, and built their first kiln in 1850.
