This is a top quality decoration 18th century Qianlong period export tea pot. The quality of decoration on this type of ware really can not go much better than this, it is comparable with the famous "Rockefeller services" from the same period. The condition of this piece is also outstanding: there are no chips, not even tiny ones, no cracks, no hairlines (even around usually problematic handles), no restorations. The finial of the lid is intact without any crack/damage. There are only two places of glaze fritting (deterioration), one on the handle, shown on the last photo and one tiny little spot on the mouth of the spout (barely visible on the third photo). Also, of course, there are various age related light scratches all over the pot, some small glaze imperfections and worn gilding as you would expect. Also, the pot slightly wobbles because the base is not perfectly flat. I would say this pot is in well above average condition for this type of ware. Quite a rare opportunity I think. Please check and look at my other Asian items for sale. Please note that I have longer than usual dispatch time due to the fact that this is just a hobby along with my full time job. All items will be dispatched as quickly as possible.
I describe the items as best as I can, however due to the nature of the items - there are old, some very old, it is impossible to describe all scratches or damage there might be. I will always attempt to accurately describe the condition and specifically mention the most significant damage or condition issues along with showing it on photographs. If there will be more serious damage / issues then described / photographed, that will be of course always a legitimate reason for return. Unfortunately I had similar cases in the past. When I will not be certain whether the item is or is not some clever reproduction, items will be marked as "unknown" in the above "Original/Repro" field and described as reproductions. The item "A top quality decoration antique Chinese porcelain export tea pot 18th century" is in sale since Monday, October 7, 2019.
