This piece has a pedestal base. The famille verte style decoration was done in slightly textured enamels and smooth glazes.
The exterior is multicolored, with a blue background. Its decoration includes flowers, tassels, and bats. The interior has a turquoise blue glaze.
This item stands approximately 3 1/8 inches tall. The rim has a floriform shape; the maximum width is about 7 inches.
Unpacked, it weighs 1 pound 3.0 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection of antique Asian decorative arts. Identification This antique, nineteenth century piece is Chinese, of the Qing Dynasty. It has a red, two character mark beneath, which is likely a Tongzhi mark, though I have not seen this particular mark before.
Condition The bowl has no cracks. To the exterior rim is a 5/8 inch by 3/8 inch chip, which someone has colored blue (see Photo 7). If there once was gold paint to the rim, it is now worn.
The interior has finish wear, discoloration, and scratches (see Photo 5); the exterior has less wear. The foot has wear and discoloration. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made. And international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
