Antique Chinese Batavia & Butterfly Qianlong Bowl. I've had this bowl in my collection for many years. It is decorated with an unusual Batavia and Butterfly design on the exterior rim. The interior is decorated with a flower vase surrounded by various kinds of flowers. It has two fine hairlines on one side there is no associated rim chip, so these are most likely stress hairlines caused as a result of the kiln firing process. There is an unglazed spot in the inside of the foot rim, which again is the way it was made. It is about 7 3/8 inches in diameter. It weighs about 519 grams.
